BIRTH AND BECOMING

In this sculpture evolution is represented in three stages: the first, at the base - where fertilised matter gives birth to the creative spark and cellular life is born; the second, at the centre - where in a turbulent but rhythmic vortex of energy, man originates; the third, the upper part - where, through a spiral of fire, the slow, seemingly endless ascent continues to a point of culmination, hinted at in the shape, finely pointed, where all the lines of energy converge and return to the one.

Considerations: The fire of Matter and the fire of Spirit are looked upon as sources, opposite poles of the same expression. At the centre, the endless fire of manifestation, the brilliant light of our awareness, our being, that becomes.
